03a9a3_abb138d2bdd24f28b8c6d5c9d5666ebeI have been practising yoga for over 20 years and have always loved it.  From my first class, I found that the day I went to yoga was always my favourite day of the week. Yoga gives me more energy and a sense of inner calm and peace.  I felt inspired to become a yoga teacher while living in the States where yoga is very popular and where I had some excellent teachers.  I would like to increase yoga’s popularity here as I think so many people could really benefit from yoga.

I qualified as a yoga teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2011.  I studied for my Diploma with Maarten Vermaase in Oxford who is an inspirational teacher to whom I owe a great deal. This involved one year studying for the British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course and three years studying for the Diploma (500 hours).  I continued my studies with Maarten Vermaase, taking the British Wheel of Yoga meditation module.  In 2019 I completed the foundation certificate in Yoga Therapy and I continue to attend further study days every year to increase the breadth of my experience.

For me, one of the wonderful things about yoga is its diversity and that you can always continue learning and discovering more about yoga.
